VSI 1000

Design Simplicity

The VSI 1000 is an overhead delivery system utilizing a 4 1/2" pneumatic tube system and a free carrier system. The carrier may be either a side opening or end opening carrier, 4 or 4 1/2 inches in diameter.

The system is equipped with a terminal (sending station) and the customer kiosk (receiving station). Each station is equipped with a send and call button. The teller has an on/off switch to shut the system down.

The delivery system is powered by two "power pack" blower systems located in the canopy above each station.

The customer begins the transaction by placing the carrier into the kiosk and pressing the send button, which activates the blower pack above the terminal. After the carrier passes the blower pack, the blower pack deactivates and the carrier falls onto a cushion of air. The kiosk gate then opens and carrier falls onto a rubber bumper for the teller to retrieve.

When the teller completes the transaction the carrier is placed back into the terminal and the send button is pressed. The blower pack above the customer kiosk is activated returning the carrier to the kiosk. The customer removes the carrier from the kiosk, takes the contents from the carrier and returns the carrier to the kiosk. The system is ready for the next customer.

At the end of the day, the teller recalls the carrier and turns the system off.

Greyfield Sound System

A state of the art Greyfield Sound System provides communication between the teller and customer. Future sound system features may be added as necessary.

Quality and Reliability

Condensation control has been addressed with the re-circulation of air feature built into the blowers. The units may be operated on a low airflow setting whenever weather conditions indicate condensation to be a problem.

The unit has been well tested in cold weather with optional built in heaters. The heaters are designed to keep the system operating smoothly, but will not melt snow and ice outside of the system. Custodial care to remove snow/ice from the units is required.
